Libby Marlatt

Elizabeth (Libby) Marlatt-Murdoch, LPCA is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate as well as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate, dually licensed in Ohio and North Carolina. She has been practicing in the field of mental health and substance abuse since 2013.

Libby attended undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati where she majored in Psychology, minored in Sociology, and obtained a Deaf Studies Certificate. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. Libby is certified in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, and was also certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional by the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Since graduate school, Libby has focused on continuing her education in the field of trauma and neuroscience, recently completing a 28-week certification course on Traumatic Stress Studies with the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute. Additionally, Libby has studied Relational Neuroscience and Relational Cultural Theory at Wellesley College and the College of St. Scholastica. She is currently in the process of obtaining certification as an EMDR practitioner. Libby is lifelong learner and has a passion for making neuroscience accessible to clinicians in the field as well as their clients.
